IN the 80’s, gall bladder surgery was a lot more invasive. Now it is an in-and-out type deal.

Gall Bladders can go gangrenous on you.

They started doing gall bladders laparscopically in the late 70s- my mum was recommended for the operation in 1979.

I’d guess that both Murtha as well as Warhol had it done the modern less invasive way.
