Geez, dontcha know, Jesus died so that we could continue to live in our sin and feel good about ourselves while we did it, and then go and preach at others who tell us that we’re wrong that they are unloving, being judgmental, and full of *hate*.

An individual on FR constantly uses the passage about how "God gave every green plan to man for his use" permits smoking marijuana.

I asked him if he would like to smoke some dried poison ivy leaves. Then I offered him a nice hemlock salad.

If you want to do something, and you're going to do it regardless of consequences, just do it! Don't play childish, legalist games to justify it. Remember, however, that denying the consequences won't make them go away.

Some at the time would argue that by putting Jesus to death, they were only ending the life of one who sins and that Jesus’ life was just a “feel good about ourselves preaching at others who tell us that we're wrong that they are unloving...yada yada exercise.” I guess it all depends on where you are and what era you are living in as to whether you are an apostle or a Pharisee.
