Abortion is wrong and its a sin...its murder of an innocent. That being said I am not naive enough to believe this travesty will be remedied overnight. Abortion like cancer... it slowly crept its way into the American culture and if its to be dealt with realistically it will be in gradual increments....(same way as it came)
It would be great if we lived in a perfect world, all politicians were honest...all people had morals yada yada yada. We don’t.... and an overnight cure just aint gona happen.
You pragmatics who want the country and politicians to change overnight are either nuts, deluded or are just naive.
Its easy to sit behind a computer screen on your butt and remedy all the ills of this nation...its 2010 and the folks in this country arnt gonna pick up guns and run the British off...much as you may want that. Live in the real world...stop feeding your delusions.

You meant pragmatists, not pragmatics, right? Never been called a pragmatist on FR before. That's a first.

Look, I consider myself a traditional mainstream conservative. A Reagan conservative who understands that nothing in life is perfect. Especially not human beings. 20-40 years ago I was running around working for conservative causes through the GOP party apparatus. Debating issues at political events, county fairs, peoples homes, work environments, even in the backrooms of churches and the mainrooms of drinking establishments. Today we have the internet to help us communicate our opinions and thoughts. Some people find the internet impersonal and difficult to use. I think its a great social tool that fosters more good, then bad. I'm not trying to remedy all the ills of the nation. I've been on FR for over 10 years now, advocating conservatism, fighting liberalism and trying to hold folks accountable for their own words. As in life, words are significant part of politics. Our words are instruments in which we judge others by.
