thanks for report! is there a list anywhere of the FReepers that were at the convention? I so much wanted to be part of the event.
I don’t know of such a list.
But the ones I know who were present include yours truly, seekthetruth, (her other half), wardaddy (his other half), Recon Dad, and Freedom Poster.
Am sure there were others but don’t know who else was there from FR.
The Teaparty movement is so huge that almost everyone I have spoken to about it know at least one person who is involved in it!
WOOHOO!!!
(but shhhh, don’t tell anyone)
Would have loved to have met you there too!
I know many wanted to be there but couldn’t be for an assortment of reasons.
My being there was sort of a fluke that just worked itself out by God’s grace and good humor!
So, I fully understand (and would be having the same) aching feelings of, um....let’s be honest - jealousy, wishing I could have been there, etc, etc. etc. That’s how I felt after reading all the reports of the 9-12 march which I did not attend.
But = that ballroom could not hold all of Freeperdom, you know. It could not hold all of the Teaparty movement participants either (the two of which overlap in many ways).
I was just very happy that the lsm broadcast THE SPEECH live on all their networks of hatred.....LOLOLOL!!!!
Was that rich or what???
Am sure there will be many similarly inspired events in many locations across the country that FReepers will be able to attend, participate in, lead, or help with.
The speech was of course THE highlight of the event (and the only part of the weekend that I could attend since the rest were sold out by the time I woke up and got myself signed up to attend....) But the entire convention is a model of, I believe, what is going to be the most effective focus of the TP movement going into the 2010 and 2012 elections locally, statewide, and nationally.
I commend the Tea Party Nation for it all.
