As for how Obama got hooked into the Black Muslim network and came to the attention of Mansour/Warden, look for links between Obama and Black Muslim radicals in the US, like Rev Jeremiah Wright (friend of Louis Farrakhan). Obama's childhood mentor Frank Davis, who before coming to Hawaii had been living in Chicago and had probably still had contacts with black radicals in Chicago who could "look after" young Obama.

1979-1981 Professor Roger Boesche, Occidental Los Angeles, Obama’s intellectual political mentor; Obama’s first public speech was at Occidental, sponsored by the Students for Economic Democracy, a branch of the Campaign for Economic Democracy, chaired by Radical Tom Hayden. In “Dreams from My Father: Obama wrote of his two years at Occidental College, “I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. At Columbia: Both Obama and 1960s “Weathermen” bomber Ayers admit to attending anti-American rallies that took place at Columbia in the early 1980s. Ayers was studying for his M.Ed in Early Childhood Education at Bank Street College down the street from Columbia University in NYC at the same time Obama was completing his B.A. in Political Science at Columbia University.
In “Dreams From My Father”, Obama reveals that while at Columbia he “went to socialist conferences …in Brooklyn.”
“Then, after transferring to Columbia University two years later, he [Obama] found that “political discussions, the kind that at Occidental had once seemed so intense and purposeful,” took on the flavor of the “socialist conferences” he sometimes attended at New York’s [Columbia’s] Coopers Union.”
October 20, 1981 – Brinks robbery in which several members of the Weather Underground stole over $1 million from a Brinks armored car near Nyack, New York. The robbers murdered 2 police officers and 1 Brinks guard. Several others were wounded.

Also, I do not have a link for the next comment, but I will try to find where I originally read it and post later. In the newspaper account of the Brinks job that the Weather Underground pulled in 1981 in NYC, witnesses describe a black youth who sounds alot like Obama.
Remember, at this point in time (fall 1981) Obama is attending Columbia Univ. in NYC in the poli sci Dept., he’s being mentored by Zbigniew Brzezinski, professor at Columbia Univ. (Brzezinski is former National Security Advisor under Pres. Carter; Brzezinski is currently Obama’s foreign policy advisor) and by his own admission in “Dreams Obama is attending radical socialist political rallies and gatherings in the Coopers Union (the student union hall at Columbia) and in Brooklyn.
Also, one of the female Weathermen terrorists that attempted to pull off the Brinks Job, one of those who got caught, was the best friend of Bill Ayers’ wife and fellow Weathermen terrorist, Bernardine Dorn. Ayers and Dorn took over the guardianship of the arrested terrorist’s daughter on an indefinite basis following the botched Brinks Job and the female terrorists subsequent arrest.
