Wow, I just realized that it was Republicans pulling this crap. Ron has been courting the Tea Party crowd and befriended Palin so I’m sure the wishy washy California R’s are moving in hoping to take his seat.
If there’s one thing the GOP airheads can be counted on for, it’s to throw their own under the bus at the drop of a hat.

Wow... You will never know how happy I was to read in the last sentence that the abused was a woman. He should step aside until this plays out. I would really like to hear what Tom McClintock has to say about this...

Monday, 2/8/2010, an out-of–control Republican Party Of San Diego County Central Committee with 2 Chairmen (Krvaric and Nehring – although Nehring stayed away Krvaric doesn’t breath without consulting Nehring first) abused their power by going forward, despite By-law and State Election Code violations, and with a total disregard for due process, took a vote and removed Ex-officio Member, Michael Crimmins. They then summoned hotel security and escorted him out. He was leaving anyway and did not warrant such despicable treatment. Again demonstrating Tony Krvaric’s thug tactics to show the rest of the Committee Members what happens if you cross him.
Here is Crimmins’ response:
“Right off, I’m more than a little bit surprised at this intended proceeding fellow Republicans!
Here we are bringing Gitmo detainees into our country along with the Christmas Day airplane bomber, reading them their Miranda rights and extending them due process, lawyers, and all the rights we enjoy as citizens of this great nation.
And yet, someone who has actually fought and bled for this country to guarantee you those very same rights, you want to deny them their day in court. Help me understand that one please.
Just who are our leaders that are making those decisions leading us down that path and what is their agenda? Really. There’s something far more sinister going on here than meets the eye. And it is not politics.
To allow this to even remotely to get on the agenda demonstrates to me some among us need a serious refresher course in Civics 101. They embarrass themselves, you, and our party. It appears to me and maybe to you also a few among us certainly do not recognize the difference between a thugocracy and a democracy. And this is the party of Lincoln and Ronald Reagan? Give me a break! Time to wake up and smarten up! Their actions are patently un-American.
First: The Executive Committee violated the Bylaws by not providing me prior notification of the meeting.
Second: The Executive Committee did not solicit supporting evidence prior to the meeting for review, as required by the Bylaws.
Third: They are trying to remove me from the Committee. However, CA State Election Law Code, Section 7400 does not allow them to do so. Yet they are intentionally misleading the Central Committee that they can. I’ve consulted with Nielson Merksamer, the top political law firm in the state to affirm such. We have also consulted with the RNC General Counsel’s office and they are flabbergasted and greatly concerned to hear that a State and County Chairman would violate the state’s election laws and party bylaws to directly oppose and harass a candidate for Congress, much less one who was the 2008 nominee and the 2010 front runner. They are reviewing several present Bylaw violations, unprofessional conduct, and the Sacramento Bee’s article on Ron Nehring’s behavior with plans to act quickly to halt all of this stupidity. But even they agree that this is absurd and they are greatly concerned about Tony Krvaric and Ron Nehring’s shenanigans.
Fourth: The email sent out by Michael Rosen with the agenda of Tony Krvaric has been to directly hinder and oppose my campaign for Congress. Conduct which is unbecoming of a Republican Chairman, and also a clear violation of the Party Bylaws. The Bylaws do not allow for this motion to occur.
Fifth: These are all libelous and malicious claims. As I noted in my response, Mason Weaver and I spoke on January 17th at the Marriott and talked about this rumor that had been spread about some dumb racist thing. We both noted how in fact it was not as it was said. I’m greatly disturbed that someone who always talks about being anti-racism would all of a sudden fabricate something like this after having equally agreed that is was not true. Just as Tom Sudberry can verify that I was not undermining the party, just answering his own questions. I am a candidate and you cannot censure me for legitimate campaigning and answering the questions of a community leader. Everything I said was true.
Sixth: As Nathan Fletcher told Tony Krvaric, he ought to be more concerned trying to get rid of Democrats, than of Republicans. You should all be more concerned with the fact that Tony thinks he can harass, slander and remove a candidate for his own personal vendetta, despite whatever laws he may break. He has called and harassed my donors, supporters and endorsements and that type of activity is not only absurd, but illegal and a violation of our Bylaws and should it continue I’ll be forced to seek other remedies.
How ironic that the very Bylaws he quotes also allows for his removal as Party Chairman.
