NB, considering the way the Mccain campaign refused to attack, do you think Soros may have had control of both 08 campaigns?

Yes. Soros had three horses in the 2008 race. No matter who won, Soros won.

I am inclined to think that McCain, because of his extraordinary war record, is a straight shooter and just thinks aberrantly from our conservative point of view. The simple straightforward explanation is usually the correct one, and I think it is more plausible than not in this case.

If you recall McCain's acceptance speech at the convention, he took pains to recite the story of being broken by the torture at the time of his signing the confessional document. McCain was broken and ready for suicide when by Morse code tapping he was brought by his fellow prisoners to the conviction that his duty was to stay alive. He says he resolved then to devote his life to his country. I believe he believes he has done so even though you and I would undoubtedly see his service often to be misdirected.

I believe this even though I know he has had dealings with Soros.
