2008-2009 there were months in between a single weak sunspot, blank sun , now there are usually 1-2 sunspots on the earth facing side in the past two months, the beginning of a new solar cycle. A few weeks back I believe there were 3 sunspots on the earth facing side. I don’t know if that’s normal for sunspot activity or not.

Save this link. Will let you know basically what has been going on with sunspot numbers. For some strange reason however, they never have a daily sunspot number between 1 and 10. The number 11 is the lowest they go besides 0. Think it has something to do with the method they use to count sunspot areas.
