He must be a fool. Maybe his father is the one who cataputeled his company to number one in the United States. There are so many whites who cannot afford or even be accepted to universities because their parents earn a certain level income, but still in reality not enough to enroll them in colleges that charge the unrealistic fees the universities are charging them today. This very rich man, with no contact with the realities of life, is helping to keep America under par with the rest of the world. Please, America, stop idolizing someone just because he has achieved success in some particular field and become so wealthy in the process. Brilliant and creative Americans are being overlooked because of these softhearted, bleeding hearts, who have achieved prominence for their achievements in one particular field, and feel they should be more benevolent to society. Someone once said, “charity begins at home”. To some extent this may be true.
It’s widely rumored that Bill Gates has Asperger’s syndrome — a mild form of something that, when severe, is usually called autism. The person is intensely single minded, almost an idiot savant. It’s the reason that Bill Gates wrote the most clever software and cut the shrewdest business deals, yet never foresaw the Windows virus.
Very true.My grandparents where sharecroppers. My dad was a metal fitter at McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft for 35 years (he was a supervisor when he retired).
I would not have been able to go to university today, with the criminal prices that are being charged. When I went to the University Of California, the only fee was $50.00 for student union, and cost of books (about $100.00/semester). Housing on campus, including meals, was around $900.00/semester.
I worked part-time. and had a student loan total of $564.00 when i graduated.
