Two lessons to learn for RAT staffers.

1. To the victor goes the spoils.

2. If u r a RAT staffer, u might want to start looking for work NOW...before the coming November elections.

Worked for weeks to prepare the office... Horsepucky. They knew the date of the election, they knew their guy wasn't on the ballot, their last day should have been that election night, not weeks later, the lousy crying babies.

Sorry, it's the People's office, not yours. It certainly isn't Krik’s who was never elected to the position, and the law at the time of Kennedy's death stated that no replacement could be appointed, but bah, who cares about laws, they're liberals, they can change it retroactively!

What would be just deserts would be a bill from the American people for stalling getting out of that office.

Maybe if they weren't trying to sneak in that rabidly pro-labor NLRB appointee, they could have been spared the hurry. Poor dears.

it isn't the Kennedy office, or the Kirk office. It is the People's office.

It’s not the fault of responsibility of the staffers, but the fact remains that Kirk ceased to a Constitional Senator once the election was completed, regardless of the outcome, and regardless of when the election result was certified or when the new Senator was sworn in.

However, staffers will remain for an additional 30 days on the government payroll,...

America...what a country!

“On one hand, Kennedy staff is used to packing up and moving. But this was over a week early — it’s a tough adjustment,” said one Democratic Senate aide who is close to Kirk's office. “The staff tried to be incredibly helpful with the transition. They thought they were doing this all right, ... but then Brown receives a call from the Republican leadership and everything changes. … Maybe this is a foreshadow of things to come.”

“So much for change,” sniffed another Democratic Senate staffer. “The question is, why did he suddenly decide in less than 24 hours to come racing down here?”

Here is the point we the little people need to understand, these Kennedy/Kirk staffers are the special elite and they should not be treated harshly.

(treated harshly is defined as dealing with real life issues the same as we the little people have to deal with, like suddenly being unemployed, or not being allowed to lounge about in the halls of power sucking the teat of Uncle Sam while subverting the Constitution...)

How many hundreds of thousands of Americans lost their jobs in the past month and how many million in the past year?

Get in line staffers, you have now joined millions of your fellow Americans on the Hope and Change high speed railway.

The real interesting thing here is how Kennedy hung on to the seat when he was diagnosed with his brain tumor. If he would have stepped down they could have run another democrat before everyone knew what a loser Obama was and the mood had shifted. Then they would have held on to the seat. Interesting how timing works out.

Gee do you suppose the Republican leadership has been reading what theinterwebs have had to say about this? Perhaps Brown thought he should be given the same treatment the dems get being swon in.I mean most of them had to wait what 24 hours or less?*sarcasm*This is not early by my calculations. Hopefully we foiled some of their plans for the next 7 days!

I would be more than happy to help the whining, sniveling, immature liberal pussies out of Senator Brown’s offices with a swift boot to the ass.

I don’t think I have read anything as contemptibly sissified as this account of this group of whiners.

They will continue to be paid and receive full benefits for AT LEAST three months, some longer.

LOL! - They thought the Senator’s office belonged to them and not the people of Massachusetts.
Good riddance.

Welcome Scott!

Perhaps after losing their jobs these staffers now understand the feelings of many voters in the bay state. It is those feelings that drove voters to the polls in record numbers. They elected Scott Brown.

Kirk has NO right to stay in the seat once Brown was elected. HA...if they hadn’t hurried up and changed the senate rules after Kennedy died...this may have never happened...

The project for the day was to prepare Kirk for his final floor speech,

That just sounds so pathetic. He's making a good-bye speech, and it takes his entire staff an entire day to write it for him?

I bet it didn't take Brown a day to prepare for his press conference, and he seemed to be able to say what he meant without a teleprompter.
