Uriah Heep - The Wizard

Three Dog Night - Chest Fever (from Captured Live at the Forum)

Judas Priest - You Got Another Thing Coming, Fever, Beyond the Realms of Death, Screaming for Vengeance

Orange Goblin - Time Traveling Blues

For me these songs seem to capture the mood of how I felt in a break up. In some of them it is more the music and the arrangement than the lyrics for me. And in some it is both that captured how I felt at the time. It is a feel thing I guess. (Oh gosh I am sounding like chick sigh*)

Fly by Night, Rush

I never really thought of it as a “breakup song” - but I guess it could be.

Fly by night away from here.
Change my life today.
Fly by night, goodbye my dear.
Ship isn’t coming and I just can’t pretend.
