94 House Democrats have signed the Polis-Pingree letter calling on the Senate to pass the public health insurance option through "reconciliation," which only needs a simple majority to pass the Senate.

He said that governments needs to work on "fixing a health insurance system that too often works better for the insurance industry than it does for the American people."

The measure would change the massive Senate-approved health bill to what bargainers from the White House, Senate and House agreed to last month, Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., said in a brief interview.
