I’m very serious, I’ve been to all of the Tea Parties in my area, and I’ll inquire about support if they don’t field a name candidate.

You are exactly right! (And correct, too!). Perhaps we should get a group of like-minded people together to run our own slate of candidates if the New York GOP won't ( unfortunately, the NY GOP is riddled with so-called Roosevelt republicans, who are essentially liberals in all but name).

Getting ex-Gov. Palin to come and support such a move would be absolute pure gold, as well!
