Say It Ain’t So! Obama Gets Dumped by…Obama Girl

We know that people are souring on President Barack Obama, and that even some of his fans and allies have started to doubt whether he’s change they can believe in after all. But the latest case of dissent may be one of the most surprising.

Speaking to Sean Hannity last night, Amber Lee Ettinger—the star of 2008’s popular “Obama Girl” web videos—said that the magic is gone:

I just don’t have that big crush like I used to…yeah, I mean it was two years ago, and if I had this crush on him the same way as I did in the beginning I’d be the fool, y’know? It’s like a relationship, when you get into a relationship with somebody, they’re all great and perfect, they say all the right things, and then once you’re in the relationship, it’s like, “okay, they’re not that perfect.”

Even worse, the cad didn’t even call her back after she whispered all those sweet nothings in his ear! (Although, in Obama’s defense, such a sexually suggestive display of support wasn’t exactly polling well with his family.)

She’d still give Obama a B- (a little lower than a “good, solid B+”) because she’s trying to be merciful and give him a little more time to shape up, but she nailed the source of the problem:

Talk is cheap. Actions speak louder than words.

I can’t think of a more fitting illustration of just how superficial Obama’s support was. It wasn’t about policies. It wasn’t a referendum on conservative or liberal philosophy. It was an emotional response to a smooth-talking charmer who made people feel good about themselves and told them what they wanted to hear—never mind about the details.

Maybe we can swap 0bambi for the Obama Girl.....

....at least she made one good judgment in her life time....

....and easier on the eye than "the one"...

and an added benefit....don't need to print up any new White House Stationary etc...just change the B to a G.

as in

Girl OBAMA for President...

For a moment I thought the story was that Peggy Noonan, Kathleen Parker, or Chris Matthews had lost that “luvin feelin” for Barry. Oh well...

I agree. When the attention stopped, so did her adoration.
