All my colleagues are polite. Most are civil and friendly, and some are in fact, downright supportive. I’ve never had a poster ripped off my door, or anything like that. There are always jokes, asides, or comments in faculty meetings, and I give it right back, so they don’t screw with me. It works out fine.
