A friend of mine directed me to a website a few weeks ago with instructions on how to build an exact replica of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Number One” Stratocaster (the sunburst guitar with half its finish gone). The guitar the website’s author built uses the body from a Squier Strat.

Rev Payton in BIGDAMNBAND.com plays a 1920-30 resonator guitar....I’ve never heard/seen so many different sounds come from one instrument at the same time. Fantastic! SOmetimes he plays base with his thumb, rhythm with two fingers and sound effects with the other two.....They’ll be on the WARP tour this summer.
