Has anyone heard any rumors/news of unarmed American servicemen suffering any machete attacks in Haiti? I understand from the MSM reports that our peacekeepers are going out on missions without ammo. This seems like a huge mistake to me.

I don't want to spread rumors but it would also me a huge mistake to suppress any news of attacks. We need to be there but we also need to know.

The Special Tactics Squadrons consist of:
Combat Control Technicians (CCT)
Pararescue Specialist (PJ)
Combat Weather Technicians (CWT)

STS are part of the USAF Special Operations Command.

BTW the Teams flew down on 2 MC-130 Combat Talon SO aircraft.
