Well, the mystery may be over. A woman who said her name was, in fact, Ellie Light called this morning into the radio show of Michael Smerconish, a national talker based in Philadelphia who has been friendly to Obama, to clear things up.
"I'm only me," she said, identifying herself as a traveling nurse who works for 13-week stretches at hospitals around the country, and whose primary residence is in Southern California.
"I need to own up – I did misrepresent my home town in some places," Light told Smerconish. Her logic in faking the addresses is one familiar to advocacy groups: "If I thought it was written by a neighbor of mine, I would give it more credence."
Light mused on why the letter was so widely circulated: "My letter was pretty darn good. It took a long time to write. I took more interest in honing it than most people take today."
"I don't know why others are not making the observation that, Why are we all abandoning the president we so adored so quickly?" she said.

There is a reciprical agreement between a bunch of states that allows it.
Interestingly enough, California isn’t one of the states that allows “travelling nurses” so the lady claiming to be ‘Ellie Lite’ from CA couldn’t be a travelling nurse(unless she is licensed in a state that is part of the NLC.
I stopped listening to him when he came out and endorsed the fraud.

Ohio’s Chillicothe Gazette received the letter January 6. On the 7th they email “Ellie” at her yahoo account. January 17th they published the letter, (without verifying the home address she provided). By that time her letter had appeared in at least a dozen other publications. A quick google search would have provided numerous hits.
Either MSM is extremely inefficient or they are complicit. I’ll say both.

Probably just wanted to find some subliminal positive association with Health Care....nonsense. Probably fooled Michael Smerconish, doesn’t fool me, or us.

California isn’t part of the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compant) that allows nurses to travel from state-to-state while only holding one license in the state they are a permenant resident. So how is Ellie Lite able to have a “primary residence .. in Southern California” and be a travellingnurse?

How could a so-called “Nurse” from California (which is what Ellie Light claims to be) know enough to call a local radio talk show host in Pennsylvania in order to ‘come clean’ about her letters?

Ellie Light has revealed more details about the woman behind the name.
WASHINGTON — Ellie Light, the ubiquitous letter writer arousing blogosphere suspicions that she is a White House operative spreading the gospel of Barack Obama, is actually a registered nurse. She lives in a California community near Bakersfield.
And her real name is Barbara Brooks. Or so she told The Plain Dealer today after a series of phone interviews, e-mails and records checks involving Brooks/Light, a family member, licensing records and property information.
The 51-year-old woman provided her address on Monday night to The Plain Dealer, and what she says is her real name in conversations today that followed checks of public records.

For the 2000 election, we had several freepers sending letters from a file of several forms, to editors of newspapers around the nation. All were pro-life, exposing the pro-death nature of Gore, et al. Many papers published the letters, and in Tennessee the letters had an impact, we believe, in preventing Goreghoul from winning Tennessee!

I can guarantee if this Ellie Light person is a nurse in any hospital me or mine are in, she’s going to be forbidden to even enter the room and I’ll be loudly registering my concern about her ability to perform her duties due to her willingness to make false statements.
She needs to be exposed anytime she raises her head.
“Barbara Brooks” eh? A name to remember should you enter the hospital.
How much did they pay this “Ellie” to be Ellie?
