Neither of those beers are actually “Mexican”. They are actually Vienna Lagers.

If I were looking for a Mexican alcoholic drink I would go with a nice tequila. Something worth dirtying a glass for.

True but generally you will not see Mexicans drinking Corona. I have spent a lot of time in Mexico since the mid 80’s and what you mostly see consumed by the locals in Tecate and Carta Blanca, and to a lesser extent, Bohemia. Most locals bars don’t even sell Corona, they reserve that for the tourists in the tourist areas. I am not a huge fan of Mexican beer but when I was down there I almost always drank Pacifico or XX Lager (The green label). Of course come Christmas time I used to love picking up some Noche Bueno. Now tequila, give me a nice bottle of Don Julio and I’m a happy camper.
