No one event will help the conservative and Republican cause during the 2010 elections more than for J. D. Hayworth to replace John McCain in the Senate. It’s started off as a great year election wise and that would be the best possible conclusion (along with large pickups in the House and Senate).

And I hope Sarah will make the appearances with McCain she’s committed to, then just fade into the background on that race.

Me too. But I would rather she have a change of heart and just refrain from getting involved at this point. She probably doesn’t think so, but in my book she has every right to tell Arizona Republicans she will support the winner of the primary, then let the chips fall where they will.

In any event I suspect she’ll make the best of a bad situation!
