McCain is not going to undermine his caucus, his leadership (McConnell), or Scott Brown by letting the RATS off the hook. McCain’s comments today on health care were already pre-cleared with McConnell and Kyl.

This is a very shrewd approach and further divides the RAT special interest groups. Even the NOW organization has denounced Obama and the current Senate bill. Let them keep destroying themselves while we appear bi-partisan and willing to find accommodation - helps keep the onus off us with the great swath of independents.

Oh, right. After years of stabbing conservatives in the back and being the "Maverick" we're supposed to believe he's changed?
