If she wants to ‘keep a promise’ to McAmnesty fine, do it if he emerges against some RAT in Sept. But not now

I'd bet a sizable amount that Juan pushed this timetable on Sarah once it became apparent that JD was likely to be a serious opponent. He needed her to try and take some conservative support away from JD. Don't think it will work.

McCain is a self-serving, low life political snake, and he'd ruin Sarah without a second thought just to save his own sorry hide. I've often wondered who was advising and helping Sarah. I hope she'll realize her mistake and find a way out of this, if she has any future political ambitions.

Well said.

Am disappointed about Sarah’s agreement to campaign for McInsane but had she said she would not campaign for him, I believe the media would never let her live that down since she has claimed over and over again to admire McCain and to see him as a national hero.

Am very happy that J.D. Hayworth apparently will be sending McCain home....

Solution? Sarah Palin can campaign for both - saying that she HAS to stand with common sense conservatives and J.D. Hayworth is one and is, therefore, deserving of her support as well.

Realize that is a bit “out of the box” thinking....but we are in living in critical and unusual times.

If

I also think McCain was a jerk for cynically putting Palin on the spot by even asking her to campaign for him. He boxed her in where whether she said "yes" or "no," he could benefit.

If she said "yes," he got a popular conservative to help out.

If she said "no," he contributed to and allowed her to be painted as a political idiot who was selfish, ungrateful, uninitiated in the decorum of politics, full-of-herself and on and on.

And, either way, he knew his audaciously asking for her help would likely harm her popularity one way or the other (see above).

Finally, he no doubt also anticipated that if he could play the loyalty card, again without regard to HER political health, only his, then he would also be able to use that to keep her from backing anyone who popped up in the primary against him.

We shall see. Somehow, I think this will work itself out and Palin and Hayworth will come out winners.
