Since you are blocking posting privileges for our readers we are citing you for copyright violation.
One of your posters has re-published an original article in its entirety. This is stealing intellectual property from a non-profit organization. Either pull it down or hear from the lawyers.
You have 24 hours and you are now obligated to prove that it was removed. If you do not respond we will commence with legal action.

Too. Darn. Funny. This guy could fill an asylum by himself.
Yeah. I laughed at that too. Too funny!
Who? Me? Uh, . . . no! Not even close, unless you are talking about the few times I have drinks when at certain restuarants that have bars.
“Googlurbation.”
Sounds like something they would have trouble with in River City.
Not only does he not have a leg to stand on, because he invites his readers to post to FR by giving them the tool and link to do so, this seems far more of an extortion attempt.

Excellent point, except I am not sure this dolt is smart enough to spell “extortion” much less attempt it.

We need to ban all blog pinping.
Often they just cut and paste the original [copyrighted] article. There is no way to completely rid yourself of the problem without banning blog pimping.

Don't tell him! He'll sue! ;-)

That's a common practice these days. I'm glad you are taking action.
Okeeeedokeeee
LOl, hmm..
Has a van that says “free Candy”?
LOL. Probably. And then he will send me an email how I ‘defamed’ him.
Looking at his posts, all this guy seems to do is just copy articles from other sources.
Just wait until one of them comes down on him like a ton of bricks. He may claim ‘Fair Use’ and non-profit status, but he will end up spending tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees proving it.
I noticed several sources he ‘takes’ content from that are OCD about protecting their material including WSJ, NYT, and the Washington Post.
Hi Jim,
Did you ever expect to spend your day doing this, when you started this website during the Clinton years?
I got a quick question for you, is the favicon for freerepublic.com in the public domain, or does freerepublic llc retain copyrights? I’ll let you figure it out from there.
