The biggest concern here is that one or more of the RINOs in the Senate will be sold on a "scaled down" plan and the 'Rats can still push it through. That would not only be almost as much of a disaster for the health care system and the economy as the original bills, but would give the MSM a convenient excuse to paint O and the congressional 'Rats favorably heading into the November elections.
Remember that the new "hero" Scott Brown supported RomneyCare is Taxachusetts. He and/or a few other "usual suspects" on the GOP side could be amenable to a tweaked ObamaCare package.
Let's not let our guard down!

No typos. I ran the spell checker and it displayed EVERY word in a pull-down box. I should have taken a screen shot.

Most people predicted triangulation. However, to call the current bill 0bamacare is too generous to 0bama. Zero did nothing except play golf while the libs in the Congress wrote it. He needs something before things get really bad before next Fall to say he accomplished something.

I’m not saying I support one but not the other. I’m just saying that I personally care about “buy coverage or go to jail” much more than the other. I’m not saying it’s good policy, it’s just not something that I can get outraged about at this time. Is Cap and Trade dead yet? That’s pretty horrible for many reasons.

Hussein’s plan will be to get what he can, then implement the rest via courts and Executive orders.
So the entire damn thing needs to be KILLED.

I had the same result a few days ago.

But why then did 0bama waste a year, 25% of his term, and all of his political capital pushing a bill that no one agreed on? I'm hoping he spends the rest of his three years not getting anything passed.

As far as elements, as I understand it almost no one in Congress is opposed to requiring insurance companies to cover everyone with pre-existing conditions. I think this should be abandoned too, because its just going make insurance more expensive for everyone else but the media has already spun this as a foregone conclusion. This is one that's a big challenge to me.
I have two daughters who both were born with significant medical issues. Neither of them would be insurable, and the medical costs have been high.
On the other hand, if there is no pre-existing condition clause, it would become standard for people to remain uninsured unless something happened, then go out and get insurance.
Medical care is very complex. It does need reform, but I absolutely do not trust this congress to do anything correctly.

BTW, there are four GOP Senate candidates already pledged to repeal any health care bill that may be passed in this Congress.
