How exactly do you win for conservatism by electing liberals?
It's like asking Bill Clinton to protect your daughter's chastity. You can do it, but based on track records it ain't too smart in the long haul.
How exactly do you win for conservatism by losing to leftist liberals?
False dichotomy. Since Brown isn't a "liberal," the question is moot.
You win by knowing which districts you can run a real red-meat conservative in and which districts you have to run someone who is centre-right in. The candidate you can win with in South Carolina or Idaho is not the one you can win with in Massachusetts or California - and that cuts both ways.
Seriously, if you're not smart enough to figure this out, then you're American Independalist Party or whatever is never going to get off the ground.
Yes, it is. I agree. Good analogy.
Brown vs Coakley is like we're in Haiti today, and you have a choice of sending your daughter off with Bill Clinton in a marine helicopter or off in a bus with Haitian gangbangers.
We agree on where we should go. We simply differ on how to get there.
You want to go directly to church by crossing the median, driving off the bridge and straight through the river.
I think we out to follow the road until we get to the right exit.
You're going to get stuck.
