I'm a full-on Conservative, who never touches the "Conservatism Always Wins Kool-Aid"

Obama: 69.97%

Keyes: 27.05%

I believe that Brown is going to be a game changer. This ain't Linc Chaffee or Olympia Snowe. I think he will influence the electorate of Massachusetts to move and vote to the right.

Jean Francois Kerry, you are next, mon ami!!!

Vote Schilling!! We are coming for you, Lerch!!

And as always, three cheers for Keyes’ resounding electoral wins.

I can't help but look at Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts in the context of the larger strategy clearly being implemented by the RINO (Republican-In-Name-Only) clique that currently controls the GOP.

Brown ran with little help from the GOP. He got lots of local and nationwide support at a grassroots level. He even got people from Montreal to pitch in and help. I didn't see RINO's at the rallies. Brown got off his ass and spent time in the streets meeting voters. He got his hands dirty shaking hands with the ordinary rabble.

“Obama is a radical communist and I think it is becoming clear. He is going to destroy this country and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist.

- Alan Keyes

Ya what a nut case. Everyone knows that the GOP has our best interests at heart.

Keyes might have an angleI hadn’t thought of, but I tell you that’s not why Brown won. It’s to stop healthcare from sailing through the senate. For me that’s the primary mission.

ANd I’ll be the first to say if Brown forgets conservatives and independents who want a conservative governing, that we’ll be the first to oust his ass out of that seat we put him in. If he’s really as dumb as the libs and forgets who he works for and who’s in charge, which I don’t forsee at this point, we’ll toss him out with the other RINOs.

People are not going to be putting up with dictators and kings who don’t give two sh1ts about what is good for the country and what the vast majority of people are telling them to do.

2004: Barak Obama 70%, Alan Keyes 29%
2010: Scott Brown 52%, Martha Coakley 47%

Tell me again why anyone would listen to Alan Keyes as to how to win a statewide election.

"Has no differences in principle with the socialist minded Democrats;"

"Embraces the substance of Obama's socialist agenda, but "opposes" Obama by criticizing his implementation of socialism, especially when it comes to fiscal matters;"

"Agrees in principle with the Democrats on the fundamental issues of justice and morality"

---------------------------------------------------------

Why I'm Running...

America is a great country but we also have some challenges that we need to solve if we're going to remain the world's superpower. The most important of our challenges is getting the U.S. economy moving again. People are hurting as they struggle to make ends meet. They're worried about their future, and that of their children and grandchildren. I want to ensure that we leave them an America that is financially stronger and independent: minus a national debt that we can never repay.

Health Care

I believe that all Americans deserve health care coverage, but I am opposed to the health care legislation that is under consideration in Congress and will vote against it. It will raise taxes, increase government spending and lower the quality of care, especially for elders on Medicare. I support strengthening the existing private market system with policies that will drive down costs and make it easier for people to purchase affordable insurance. In Massachusetts, I support the 2006 healthcare law that was successful in expanding coverage, but I also recognize that the state must now turn its attention to controlling costs.

Economy

I am a free enterprise advocate who believes that lower taxes can encourage economic growth. Raising taxes stifles growth, weakens the economy and puts more people out of work. Our economy works best when individuals have more of their income to spend, and businesses have money to invest and add jobs. I have been a fiscal watchdog in the state legislature fighting bigger government, higher taxes and wasteful spending.

Energy and Environment

I support common-sense environment policy that will help to reduce pollution and preserve our precious open spaces. I realize that without action now, future generations will be left to clean up the mess we leave. In order to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, I support reasonable and appropriate development of alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, nuclear, geothermal and improved hydroelectric facilities. I oppose a national cap and trade program because of the higher costs that families and businesses would incur.

Education

I am passionate about improving the quality of our public schools. Accountability and high standards are paramount. I support choice through charter schools, as well as the MCAS exam as a graduation requirement. I have worked to ensure that all children have access to a quality education. I am a strong advocate for the METCO program, which provides lower income students with broader educational opportunities.

Immigration

I recognize that our strength as a nation is built on the immigrant experience in America. I welcome legal immigration to this country. However, we are also a nation of laws and government should not adopt policies that encourage illegal immigration. Providing driver’s licenses and in-state tuition to illegal immigrant families will act as a magnet in drawing more people here in violation of the law and it will impose new costs on taxpayers. I oppose amnesty, and I believe we ought to strengthen our border enforcement and institute an employment verification system with penalties for companies that hire illegal immigrants.

Veterans

As a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army National Guard, I am uniquely aware of the importance and sacrifice of our men and women serving in the military. I have been a vigorous supporter of legislation providing benefits to returning service members, as well as, benefits for the families of those killed in action. I believe we need to recognize the sacrifice of all of our servicemembers by keeping better track of returning military personnel so they get the services they deserve. That includes providing them with first-class medical care and other benefits to which they are entitled. I am known as a leader on veterans' issues through my work on the Veterans and Federal Affairs Committee, the Hidden Wounds of War Commission, and the Governor's Task Force on Returning Veterans.

I can understand the willingness of conservatives to overlook or downplay Brown's stance on abortion to the larger goal of denying Obama and his murdering Marxist Democrats their 61st senate vote and possibly killing their evil abortionist agenda, but we can't just wash our hands of the issue and walk away any more than we could wash our hands and walk away from any other mass murdering tyrannical government operation.

...

Support him if you must, but make the calls, write the letters, send the faxes, visit his office and make him realize that the unalienable Right to Life IS a constitutional right and abortion is NOT!!

Jim Robinson

Scott Brown vs the Marxist/mass abortionist B. Hussein Obama

I think all the giddy Freepers posting old Cosmo pictures of Senator Brown and talking about him running for VP need to go outside and get some clear air.

Once you get to the general election you only have 2 real choices.

We need to get active before the primaries so RINOs are not on the ballot. If we let the GOP dictate which progressive RINO we are to blindly follow, you all know what you will be stepping in sooner or later.

Get active! Make sure that qualified conservatives and not dem-lites are put on the general election ballot.

I admire Keyes’s principles, but he has zero political sense. None. He’s a great commentator, but he couldn’t get elected dog catcher.

Yes, Brown might be called a RINO. But he comes from a state where no one else could possibly get elected. And he appears to share a lot of the same principles that we hold here. Not all of them, but many of them. And he appears to be a real man, not another wimpy metrosexual.

Yes, he’s a great addition as Senator from Massachusetts. Even if he never gets re-elected, he sent a decisive political message to Washington.

No, we don’t want him as president. That’s a silly idea. Why spoil the party by even mentioning it?

He is not a full-bore pro-abort. He does support parental consent for minors, and he does oppose partial birth abortion. He tried to add an amendment allowing medical personnel freedom of conscience, which is why Coakley started ranting about not allowing Catholics to work in emergency rooms. Certainly Coakley puts no such limits on her screaming love for abortion. If he is willing to vote with the party on abortion issues, or even (like a good RINO) vote against the party when his vote isn’t needed and the leadership give him permission, more power to him. That may be necessary in a liberal state. If he turns into another Lincoln Chaffee (which seems very doubtful to me), and defies the leadership, then he’s out of there next time around. Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think he’s another Lincoln Chaffee or Jim Jeffords.

I'd like to give Brown a chance and see how he behaves in the Senate before forming an opinion about him.

If he sides with the rest of the Republicans on the important votes, he's a keeper. If he turns into another Arlen Specter, McCain, or Snowe, then get rid of him in the next election. He's only serving the remainder of Ted Kennedy's term.

Keyes jumping off cliffs again?

He has no appreciation nor understanding of the magnitude of the election? - Obama’s presidency dismantled in one fell swoop and all Alan can worry about is who the very irrelevant Hannity has on his show?

While I do have many problems w/Keyes, he is correct in that Sean is very tuned in to many of the RINOs and spends much air time featuring them on his show, i.e. Romney, etc.

Sean "thinks" that he is conservative and he probably is on "some" issues but is very "wobbly" (to quote "The Iron Lady" Thatcher to Geo. H.W. Bush, and she was correct on him as he also went "wobbly" waaaaay to much, which got him voted out of office.)

Yes, the RINO RNC and it's many cheerleaders are hopping on board with Brown to do an end run around any actual conservative for 2012.
