MNJohnnie and his hero, pro-abortion socialist Scott Brown are living proof that the Republican Party has no intention of doing anything at all to end abortion in this country.

Also true that Keyes is not so politically astute.

Unfortunately now, in the Republican Party, "politically astute" means "willing to cast aside all principle" in the pursuit of political expediency.

Which may have an appearance of wisdom in the short run, while in the long run meaning total destruction for America and the principles upon which our liberty is premised.

Ditto.

I am sorry but it is impossible to take seriously people who refuse to learn any facts that challenges their pet personal opinions.

Too bad for you all we are a Constitutional Republic, not your personal fiefdom where you could impose your pet political dogmas by fiat.

Unfortunately for you, you actually have to compromise to accomplish things in our system of Government. Your dogmatic refusal to listen, much less compromise, with anyone who does not march 100% in lock step with your personal dogmas makes you a silly irrelevance in US politics.

Sorry I would rather actually accomplish things that limit and restrict Abortion rather then cling to childish notions of perfection that accomplish NOTHING at all.

Only God is perfect, nothing of man ever is.

Learn to live with that reality.

How much different is Brown's statement from this one:

Americans believe deeply in the need to keep government out of private, personal matters. That is one reason why I am pro-choice. I believe we should all work to reduce the number of abortions. That is why I have worked to reduce teen pregnancy, remove barriers to cross-racial adoption, and provide tax credits to families willing to adopt. Still, I believe the ultimate choice should remain a matter for a woman to decide in consultation with her conscience, her doctor, and her God.

Source: Between Hope and History, by Bill Clinton, p.137 Jan 1, 1996

And...How reduced in number will abortions be when they are available to everyone for $50.00 nor less?

But "Johnnie." You've compromised everything that matters.

Okay, but don't be surprised to see these two guys standing behind the Prez when he signs the final version of ObamaCare.

Politically astute does not = compromise.

astute; Having or showing shrewdness and discernment, especially with respect to one’s own concerns.

Until you actually start reading and responding to the points made to you rather then just firing off your pre-programed dogmatic responses less then 1 minute after a comment is posted to you, no rational person can take you ranting seriously

Exactly.

"I can do better. We can go down there and hold the line. We can go back to the drawing board on health care. As the forty-first Senator I can tell them to do better, and try again and get something like we have here in Massachusetts." ~ Senator Brown

Brown loves his version of socialized medicine --- RomneyCare. Some version of ObamaCare will work for Scotty.

"We're past campaign mode...I think it's important for everyone to get some form of health care. So, I think to offer a basic plan for everyone is important. It's just a question of whether we're going to raise taxes, or we're going to cut half a trillion from Medicare, we're going to effect veteran's care...I think we can do it better...and to just be the forty-first Senator and bring it back to the drawing board. There are some very good things in the national plan that's being proposed."

-- Senator-elect Scott Brown, January 20, 2010

pre-programed

They're only "pre-programed" in the sense that, unlike yourself, I actually know what I believe and where I stand. You have to wait to see what the RINO spin of the day is.

That is true. Also true that Keyes is not so politically astute.

I think that you are confusing conviction, and courage thereof, with lack of political astuteness. Unlike most of today's politicians, Keyes will not compromise on his convictions in order to win an election. Unfortunately, Republicans and so-called conservatives are too unaware and too timid to follow.

I am glad that you have pride in your Tea Party descendants, but I think that they would be dismayed at what has become of their progeny.

If the Tea Party were held today, I am afraid that men like Keyes would be leading the charge toward the docked ships only to find the weak-kneed turning back and looking for a more "moderate" and "politically savvy" leader that could work with King George to seek modest and incremental gains. Perhaps, through charm and skillful negotiation, King George will just decrease the amount of unrepresented taxation forced on us colonists...something that we can all agree to live with.

Brown is the best of the two options that MA voters had on Tuesday.

We do not need more Browns in the Congress, we need more conservatives. But for now a Brown is better than a leftist Dem.

And no, we do not need a national health care program. We need reform in the sense that we need to de-fang the FDA and Big Pharma, along with the AMA, and establish a “choice” environment that allows alternatives to be free offered and allowed.

Drugs kill people. Big Pharma is uncontrolled. The FDA does not protect us, it protects Establishment Medicine. The AMA punishes medical doctors who do not follow the “party” line.

Yep...and when healthcare gets passed with Brown's help, then all those that partied at Brown's election win will call him a traitor. In reality, the forementioned partiers are the traitors. They are either decieved or the decievers.

That was never my point. Sure, men like Keyes would be there. Such action, though takes the whole thing outside the arena of politics. We have a real Tea Party, the next step is revolution. Are you ready for that? Only a few are, in my opinion.

Obamacare ain't dead...

Per Scott Brown, it is just going back to the drawing board!
