See massgopguy’s post at #19 and add that to mine and then you will realize that anyone who is less than 50 years old will have no choice but work to the day they die.

Add in hyperinflation to devalue the already reduced value of the 401k’s and it will pretty much finish off us working class people.

I have already resigned myself to the idea that retirement is off the table for me. I have planned and saved only to have that money stolen by the government to give to the “underpriveledged”. So basically I have spent the 29 years already in the workforce, and have my home, and some savings that were worth quite a bit in 2000, and looking at a comfortable retirement. That has now been replaced with being carted out to the morgue from the desk in my office.

So this is way you are how allowed to roll your IRA into a Roth IRA.
I have been warning you since Obama was elected. The socialist will be coming after our 401K’s.
We must send a clear message to Washington's politicians.
The only legal tax revolt is to stop your spending.
Cut your spending to the bare bone. Bury your extra money in the “back yard”.

Just think of it as a vast expansion of the Social Security system that is already staggering toward bankruptcy — and another chance for Obama and friends to advance "social justice" by making us poor and dependent on what the government decides to let us have.

Bury your extra money in the “back yard”. After converting it from paper to gold, silver, copper or lead.

Is there any way to get these thugs on RICO for all these Government Ponzi schemes.

RICO? They're lawmakers - they're exempt from all laws. Except the second amendment. Which is what should be invoked if they even try this act of theft.

If some lowlife punk busts through your front door and starts to steal your television, threatening you as they do so, you are entitled to protect yourself by shooting them. Why is it OK if the government does the same on a much larger scale? It isn't.

Here’s an idea: Let the people have the same retirement plan as government workers. They don’t get SS...............

That depends on which part of the government they're in. In the Tennessee Valley Authority, they are under the Social Security system, and have a 401K and a separate, allegedly-funded retirement system that is not connected with the rest of the federal government.

People with little to lose, are free to act.

The first one is the expensive one. Everything after that is free.

when i moved from NJ to baltimore, just after the miracle mets were victorious in the world series... i adopted the o’s lovingly... glorious years followed and i modeled my life after being the best by doing your best... not necessarily trying to buy the best.

freddy lynn was the beginning of bad management styles and losing sight of what is important...

teeman

ps- been on maryland’s eastern shore for 10 years and ryan minor is now the manager of delmarva’s shorebirds... good game for $6...

I’ve been wondering, has there been any movement in the courts for redress for the bondholders? I would think there would be a huge lawsuit underway somewhere on that.

I’ll admit to not understanding the situation well, in a detailed way. If you have a link that would explain it succinctly, I’d love to read something like that.

I was born in Baltimore and my family moved to Appomattox, VA (in the news the past few days) when I was 9. In the 70’s I lived in Lynchburg, VA. I rented out rooms in my house to college co-ops from Va Tech who worked at Babcock & Wilcox (where I was a Operating Systems programmer on Control Data mainframes). I used the money to go up to Baltimore on the weekends when the O’s were playing and stayed with my aunt and uncle up off Eastern Avenue.

I have a glove Brooks Robinson autographed the day he retired. I sat up in the upper deck with Wild Bill Hagy unless Boston was in town, in which case I sat downstairs amongst them - good people, even with me wearing my Palmer jersey. I never had to buy my own beer when I sat with the Boston folks. BTW Memorial Stadium was the only place where National Bohemian (or was it Carling Black Label) was any good.

The O’s minor league system was great for years, especially when Weaver was at Rochester.

Moved from Texas to Dayton, OH in 90 and have been to 1 last game in memorial Stadium and 1 in Camden Yards. Don’t get back that way much, but went to race in Dover this past year. I went to the Martin Museum in Baltimore to drop off a donation of WWII prints and photos I had duplicates of while I was out that way. I still have family (cousins) in Edgewood.
