To: Fudd Fan

We wish him well and certainly wanted him to win, but he stated a lot of naive things in his speech. How is he going to end the back room deals that have been going on since day one? He said he would work with the Democrats to create a healthcare plan we can all live with. He is a Romney-ite which is understandable for Massachusetts. He seems to be styling himself as Romney modeled after the independence of Sarah Palin.

He has potential but will need to get his head straight on core principles like pro-life/pro-choice (he can’t be both), small government/government run health care (he supported it in MA). He will need to abandon the Kennedy image as his ideal. We are happy tonight, but I don’t have any delusions that he is conservative or will hang with the bunch when needed.
