This line in the Coakley campaign’s “don’t blame us” memo is pretty rich:

Democrats concerns with Obama’s Afghanistan plan forced Coakley to oppose the Afghan war in the primary, which hurt her in the general.

The voters forced her to oppose the Afghan war? What, is she some automaton, who just does as she’s told, and has no independent thought and judgment for herself? Wait, don’t answer that.
