Uhm... Since many in the SEIU seems to be on board with Brown, won’t this create some friction?

I don't know how "many" there are but there are always a few free thinkers in all the unions. I was a union member once and pretty much ignored political crap the union fed us.

I hate to be negative, but - the freaking teachers union at the campus where I work for has been violating the rules mandating “no political uses of the campus email server” for YEARS.

They constantly send out emails about which candidate or Assembly bill “we” (as employees) should rally ‘round.

I complained loudly about this (as an employees), Got zero traction.

GD corrupt ‘rats — they don’t give a crap if you complain. The rules don’t apply to them. It’s all Socialist 24/7.

They (RATS) ‘own’ the administration (colleges’ Board of Trustees), the legal system (courts), and Sacramento (State govt) out here in Calif.

Complaining about their corruption, e.g. abuse of public property and public computer systems for blatantly partisan and illegal activities is like shouting into a hurricane. Does absolutely no good.

On the other hand, if I were to push for a conservative candidate or School Vouchers for ex. using “our” email system, I’d be terminated or “investigated” IMMEDIATELY

Anyway, I DO wish Brown luck with this, but - I’m not too hopeful.

I was a member of the UAW at one time in Michigan. And, in 1980 and 1984 the majority of the Union workers defied the Unions and went for Reagan overwhelmingly.
