Beautiful family, inside and out.

I and my family can relate to the Palins, like many American families.

Our missteps we’ve taken in life have not shattered our world. We embraced our challenges, self induced or otherwise, and our faith has brought us all closer together. Really seems like they’ve done the same.

Which would the left be celebrating?
A teenage girl with a baby?
Or A teenage girl with an in your face sign saying, I have freedom to abort my baby and I did!

But I’m not in a hole. Not killing your child is not something to brag about, and it isn’t some sort of pro-life credential. It also isn’t a choice, at least any more than murdering any other person is a choice.

The ultimate in defining deviancy downward?

Pretty much, yep.

Sure you are, keep digging. You're showing yourself to be petty and an incompetent thinker.

Choose Life: A bumper sticker that is clear, unlike you who are digging and flailing for no good reason.............

“Framing a supposedly pro-life message in pro-”choice” language such as this does more harm than good.”

Deuteronomy 30:19
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

Well, I guess one can see the whole thing as “revolting” if its the garish , tabloid imagery you’re responding to: we are unfortunately at that stage currently in our “culture”.... some other poster pointed out the interesting fact that in months past, pre and post election, the tabloids were used as battering rams against Palin and her family, and with this cover, now she’s using at least one of them as a battering ram against her strident
pro-abort opponents. These are POLITICAL issues, unfortunately, and it’s not pro-life people who made them that way, and it’s not pro life people who’ve unleashed the staggering number of certified intentional deaths for the last 36 years. Interesting, isn’t it—in an age with nearly foolproof contraception running concurrently with Roe V. Wade, we still chalk up hundreds of thousands, if not millions of abortions. We are a LONG way from recapturing the cultural and spiritual identity that would make the sanctity of human life something that was untouchable.

No, I could care less what the publication is. It’s the message I object to. I find it revolting for someone to use the fact that they didn’t kill a child as some sort of a political weapon. I consider it a sign of how far we have fallen as a nation that such a message could be considered anything but grotesque.

God also commanded us not to murder people. Would you admire a politician who bragged that they didn’t shoot Grandma, and touted that fact as some sort of law enforcement credential?

To the left Bristol is a symbol of what they say about teenage sex—it’s inevitable, so we need to help teens manage it better.

To the left Bristol is a demonstration of why it is better to give out contraception to teens without parental knowledge than to give none out at all.

To the left Bristol is proof that they are right—no matter how the right would like to position it.

There’s no converting anyone over or winning any propaganda war by putting teenaged Bristol on the cover of a tabloid.

“After that it will be those who may have minor genetic diseases like genetic obesity, or any number of minor but easily treatable disorders.”

or the ‘gay gene’ (not that there actually is one but the gays believe it must be true therefore it could be selected for)

changing the argument from Pro-Choice/Pro-Life to a CHOICE of Life / Death is an interesting approach... Gotta love it!

Not killing their children through either of their problem pregnacies are definitely pro-life credentials.

I don’t admire Palin because she didn’t kill her own baby. I admire her because she is willing to confront the Left and their control over our culture.

There are a lot of men and older women who advocate the pro-life position. But the left’s response to young women was always “oh we can’t let those men and nuns take control of you. They don’t understand what you’re going through and want to return to the dark ages of hangers, etc.” Now we have a pro-life advocate who certainly understands them. That’s why the left is so scared of Palin.

Even better, what if they found a genetic link to liberal thinking, how would they feel about that if people started deciding to abort babies with “liberal genes”......

Yeah? If Grandma starts to be a burden and a politician doesn't off them, is that now worthy of political bragging rights?

Okay, now I get your message.
I agree. But that battle has to be fought on as many fronts
as possible, and all at the same time.
There is nothing left for us to do EXCEPT fight it politically also, and in decidedly POLITICAL TERMS.
It’s the OTHER side that’s making this necessary, NOT US.
It’s the OTHER side that is enraptured by the “religion” of the secular, and celebrates abortion as if it were a “positive value”, not us. THEY can’t be discredited ANY OTHER WAY, unfortunately. If we bow out of this battle, we fall back into positions of a kind of defeated quietism that’s just not becoming, or practical. Yeah, I wish it could be done some other way, too, but it can’t be. More than anything, we need a ‘conversation’ as a culture about this issue, and not the usual ‘more-heat-than-light’ political intransigence: the mock-debate that goes on accomplishes nothing but driving both sides further into their own positions, with, you guessed it, the ProAbortbots
winning EVERY time. THAT is slowly changing, as I mentioned, WITH or WITHOUT the kind of serious debate I’d like to see.
