When Carter initiated the embargo on military hardware to Iran, I saw a TV interview with some Iranian official. (UN?) The reporter asked that since the Iranian AF consisted of US aircraft, what was Iran going to do for spare parts etc? The Iranian smirked and said, “We’re dealing with American businessmen here. We’ll have no problem getting what we need.”

That was thirty years ago and I still remember it.

So has China.

American big business is becoming corrupt. No allegiance to the USA whatsoever.
