Both of my pastors and one of my Emmaus pilgrims is in Haiti right now. They were there when the earthquake happened. Robertson ignores the fact that God sends people, not calamities.

Oh, please. I hope your flight does not occur in the winter or on a Sabbath.

And I imagine Robertson's organization had more people in Haiti than yours did before, and will send more after, this calamity.

God is sovereign. He shows up in power. Sometimes that power is an earthquake. In case you don't believe me, read Acts 16, Matthew 27, and the Hallel. Evil is not an abstract random concept. Go and learn why Jesus was impressed with the faith of the centurion.
