I have seen my share of that many times. Just last week the wife of a friend of mine complained of not feeling well. Her situation worsened and she went to the hospital. She then without warning went braindead and the doctors did not know why. She was a truly terrific person only 39 years old and leaves behind her husband and two young children. So very sad.

No, it's usually due to corrupt and venal government. Haiti has the worst government in the western hemisphere, so bad things happen to them more often than most.
