I was born soon after the 1968 gun control act passed and I still don't recognize the country where I grew up. I used to be able to walk to the local hardware store, drool over the guns and knives there, pick up a few boxes of .22 ammo. and plink away an afternoon in the woods behind my childhood home with the rifle I got when I was 12.

What delusion are liberals under when they think that unending abrogations of peoples rights in this country is a good thing? Sure they have the "right" to abortion, and the "right" to health-care, and the "right" to welfare, and the "right to homosexual marriage" and will soon have the "right" to do drugs...don't they see that none of these "right" are freedoms but shackles that the communists marxists liberals democrats are happily giving them?

Is there any conservative in office or are there any that are running that has the repeal of 1934 and 1968 gun control acts as part of their platform?

The repeal of NFA, GCA and the Hughes Amendment in FOPA would be part of my platform.

As it is I’ve thought about running for mayor, but I’m 24 and don’t owe anybody anything, so I can’t get special interests behind my back. I also believe in lowering taxes to the absolute minimum, as well as repealing unnecessary taxes. But I don’t have a name like Kennedy.

Did I forget to mention I live in NYC?

No. It would be political suicide. There are not enough patriots around for that to be a winning platform. It would be too realistic for the independents. Just saying.
