Well comparing Romney and Palin—the contrasts are pretty stark in terms of record and approach to politics. I also find it admirable that Palin’s son is in the military while none of Romney’s five sons have served in such a way in any capacity. This (among other things) means a lot to me considering we are a nation at war.

We’ll see whether people will vote on the basis of “The Olympics” or on issues such as conservative approaches to healthcare, courage of conviction on things like climate change and limited government, and no-nonsense attitude about abortion.

The fact that someone can be so popular in Massachusetts is a red flag. Palin was bipartisan and appealed to independents without sacrificing core convictions AND challenged the GOP establishment. Romney is a RINO and the GOP establishment darling.

I’m not going to argue with you, being forced to defend Mitt. Some of what he did is not defensible, but I think you’re off base with many of the talking points you have. I give Mitt credit for his business sense and capitalism mind set, which is so lacking in this country right now. I like Palin too, but wonder if she has enough going to be President, and all that that entails.

What I would love to see is a completely different person, with the record of Palin, the experience/education of Romney, and the popularity of Reagan.

That’s someone I could get behind!

Palin's father also served in the Army, no Romney man has served the United States of America as a military man, this must be more than a coincidence, since it well predates the Civil War.

In immediate history, Mitt's father (no military service WWII), was the anti war republican candidate for president while his draft avoiding son was living in France during the Vietnam war, while he was campaigning.

Mitt Romney had five military age sons while he was campaigning to be the war time Commander in Chief, but no Romney man will put on the uniform, they don't swing that way.
