"Michael Steele makes a number of old-time Republicans very nervous," Gingrich said. "He comes out of a different background. He went to seminary ... he's African-American ... But I think he's pretty close to what we need. He's different, he's gutsy and he's going to make a number of Republicans mad."

I agree with you that he was the force behind The Contract with America....But I am Conservative first and republican second. Newt is out for Newt....

But for you to jump to the conclusion that I must be for Obama because Newt is not trusted by me is quite a leap of imagination to make. Just as I didn't vote for McCain I voted for Palin, I will not vote republican just because of the R. anymore.. If that means Obama gets in, not my fault, its the idiot establishment Republicans that are nothing more than democrat lite. I am seen it too many times and will not vote president unless its a conservative...50 years of voting this crap is enough for me....

The press really pumped up the Contract with American, it was easier than admitting to themselves that their democrats lost because of the corruption that came to light..

At the time of that vote, the democrats in congress also had exempted themselves from all Civil Rights legislation just as they have the Health Care legislation and that also came to light during the Clinton years, and Hilliary care also helped the Republicans take over congress. Newt does not get all the credit. He just new a good opening when he saw one..

Rosty Rostenkowski, the most powerful democrat in the house went to jail because of the corruption, when was the last time a Powerful democrat went to jail...(note I said powerful not just run of the mill democrat, they go to jail all the time)

newt gingrich, dumber than a rock and quite proud of it.

Sorry newt, steele maybe a swell fellow, but he’s just not up to running the GOP anywhere but into the ground. In that respect, he’s much like you.

And no you imbecile, we don’t NEED health care reform, we need you government leeches to stop trying to suck us dry and let us get on with our lives. There’s a reason foreigners rush here for the greatest medical care in the world and it’s not because the system is failing or in need of marxist oversight.

Now shut your scuzzyfavor loving piehole and stop making a total fool of yourself.

What I said is you will GET Obama by ATTACKING and DIVIDING republicans.

There is no big tent...have you missed all the hate filled posts about “McLame” and “flip-flop” Romney?

Comparing the GOP with FR is silly. The GOP nominated McCain and the leader in the polls is Romney. Rinos control the party and Steele supported the rino in MD's 1st while Newt supported "Scuzzyfavor" in NY's 23rd.

The hate is well deserved. Being democrat-lite has lost us control of the presidency, the senate, the house, and the majority of governorship.

People are sick of rinos, sick of democrat lite.

Internal divisions within GOP is why you are getting a ream job from Mr. Obama. I am sure you deserve it.

BS. Why is it only a "internal division" when a conservative speaks out? The rinos have been telling us to be a "big tent" (i.e. gays, illegals, abortion, globull warming, etc)for years and look where its gotten us.

The blame still goes to the rino republicans than run...they are no better than a democrat. A conservative republican is different. Like Gramisty, Lugar, McCain, Newt, just to name a few...No different in policy than a democrat. Or the difference is so slight as to not matter..I’ll wait for someone who believes in those things I believe in...I’d even take an 80%er, not a 30%er. No one person is 100% like another. But the stand on policy matters more than and R or D

The RINO’s did pretty damn well...ALL 40 of them....in opposing the socialist/corporatist HCR bill. My signature says it all.

I should add...I have absolutely nothing against anyone making positive postings for candidates/politicians of their choice.

My only disgust is directed at those posting negative attacks on ANY republican. It does not help the candidate of your choice since you are preaching only to the choir. But negative postings can suppress GOP turnout and help elect a revolutionary socialist.

If you did not like McCain, fine. I did’nt either. But why post attacks on him? How does that help anything after he was nominated? Or even before he won the nomination?

Even a blind squirrel finds a acorn sometimes..But they played games with that Bush tax cut...gave it 10 years and I think that was because when it was up they could use it as a campaign slogan against the democrats...didn't work out so well, its gone this year...Bunch of rino's love amnesty, Bush started the bail outs lets not be blind to what they did just because they are republican..

Voting democrat lite is no different than voting democrat..Name me one spending bill Bush ever Veto in 8 years? Great on foreign policy, a humble man but stunk on domestic policys.

I think its called freedom of speech. Speaking the truth is not an attack. Those rino's I mentioned are for what I mentioned...I value my ability to speak my opinion on them. If you don't, thats not my problem..

Of course their is freedom of speech.

However saying negative things about any republicans helps get the diametrically opposite of conservatives get elected. Evidence: Barack Hussein Obama.

Just stick to saying positive things about people you prefer and let the people decide whom they will vote for. It is called freedom of choice and voting.

Yes I agree Bush43 should have vetoed a lot more spending bills. But in comparison Obama is doing 10 times worse. McCain might not have been as bad as Obama.

I am pragmatic enough to accept a less desired choice over a totally unacceptable option such as Obama.

Sorry but that is just a sweet way of saying "Shut Up" with you as the arbitrator of what is nice and what is not nice..Sorry, I will speak my piece and if someone doesn't like it, that's OK I do not demand that one has to follow my opinion...I trust people enough to make up their own minds and they might even get some information that they did not have before I opened my free speech mouth...

Nothing in what you have said address's Freedom of Speech, only Freedom to censor the speech you don't like..

LOL like thats really going to happen....only when our rights to our own opinions are done away with and then I will still speak my mind on politics..
