As much as it pains me to say it, this is one time I have to agree with Feinstein.

It’s only a matter of months and maybe weeks, before CA gets a federal bailout.

The budgetary mess here in California is the fault of the Democratic legislature. We’ve had this problem before Arnie. Arnie although not a true Republican is nothing but a convenient straw man for the left.

It seems to me that after subtracting out the cost of the federal beauracracy, 78 cents back on the dollar would probably be about average. yes/no?

I wish she would apply the same thinking to federal spending as she does for state spending!

Agree with you on that, and wondering who Feinstein represents albeit I do agree it is Sacramento that is the budget problem, she should be working with the State, not against it.
Wondering if that’s the message the NorCal Libs need to hear to get their attention next election.

DiFi’s husband's construction company made a fortune building overpriced overhead covers in Iraq for buildings that were abandoned shortly thereafter or never occupied at all.

Feinstein -- who is still rumored to be possible contender in this year's gubernatorial race As if I needed another reason to move away from the once-golden state.

Yeah, I know, but none of that seems to bother those NorCal Left voters. Thought maybe they might pay attention to the fact she isn’t there for them might do it.
Yeah, I know. I’m a dreamer. ;)
Night all.

Although California has committed many fiscal sins, rats in Washington have encouraged the spending orgy and added many mandates to drive spending even higher. California is not alone in the coming fiscal meltdown. After the stimulus expires, state spending woes will accelerate even more.
To: gov_bean_ counter

..bought her a big ol' mansion with that money also.
To: SmithL
But for the 17th amendment, the federal government could never get away with mandates on state spending. Eliminating such things would go a long way to easing the state budgeting problems and the tax burden on the state’s citizens.

"It sounds like the Governor is looking for someone else to blame for California's budget. California's budget crisis was created in Sacramento, not Washington. These problems are not going away until there is wholesale reform of the state's budget process," she said in a statement.Feinstein's way of indicting the California democrat machine.
Well Diane, I couldn't agree more.
