U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham renewed his call Tuesday for federal controls on greenhouse gas pollution, despite continued criticism from the Republican Party's most conservative members.
Graham, R-S.C., backs legislation to crack down on carbon dioxide pollution, which he said will also boost the U.S. economy and reduce the nation's dependence on foreign oil. He hopes compromise legislation he is working on will be more palatable to lawmakers who have expressed concern about two other greenhouse gas bills that "don't have a snowball's chance in hell" of passing Congress.
Speaking to more than 100 people at a climate change conference in Columbia, Graham said Congress needs to act to control greenhouse gases or the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will adopt its own regulations.

Pansy Graham is increasingly irrelevant.
Maybe this Democrat will announce he’s not running, too....
Maybe he’ll join Arlen in the Switcheroo’s Club!
Get rid of his dumb arse next election. The CO2 he exhales with each breath is killing me. He must go away by any means necessary.
He is nothing more than a political pawn for the left.
McCain and Graham are the poster children for the failed RINOs in Congress.
I hope the Repubs or Indies have some candidates to kick this brainless idiot out of office.
Wonder who’s pocket he’s in? It’s obvious that some corrupt “green” business interest owns him. Follow the money.
Folks need to get digging and find what kind of money he has invested in the scam and use it to embarrass him.
Imagine what watching the weather reports will be like when the corporate sponsors of media meteorologist want to keep their carbon stock prices up.
We are stuck with him unless he switches teams.
He was reelected in 2008.

Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) is helping to negotiate a nuclear energy amendment that could help bring aboard swing votes who support the industry. Architects and backers of the nuclear effort include Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who are seeking more federal financial backing and other support.

Nuclear Energy Institute spokesman John Keeley said the industrys priorities include greater funding for loan guarantees. Congress has set aside $18.5 billion thus far for nuclear plant loan guarantees under a DOE financing program first authorized in the 2005 Energy Policy Act. But this would cover only a small number of new plants.
Four proposals remain in the running for DOE guarantees from this funding, according to several published reports. They are: UniStar Nuclear Energy/Constellation Energy Groups proposed Calvert Cliffs plant in Maryland; NRG Energy Inc.s South Texas Project; Southern Co.s Vogtle plant in Georgia; and Scana Corp.s Summer plant in South Carolina.

USC to get new business building
Funds will come from leasing current building to Department of Justice
An estimated 250 Justice Department employees working in different locations near Washington, D.C., will be relocated to Columbia over an unspecified period.
Graham said U.S. taxpayers will save $42 million by having Justice Department employees working in South Carolina, which has lower costs than Washington.
It was almost too good to be true, Graham said of the plan. But it proved to be true.
Graham, a Republican, praised U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, both of whom were appointed by President Obama, a Democrat.
I cant thank Eric Holder and David Ogden enough, Graham said, adding they offered their support for a leasing plan that was initiated during the administration of George W. Bush.
Someone needs to tell this boy that his option are to bend, or to be broken.
I suspect the good people of South Carolina have had enough of his treachery.
Probably correct. OTOH, it could just be that Lindsey is actually an idiot. In either case he has to go.
RECALL THE FAGGOT.
LLS
Man, we sure are stuck with him.
That is exactly the sort of stuff that needs to be brought up in the cap and trade debate. It should also go to his state’s legislature since they seem awfully unhappy with his treasonous sashaying butt.
Hey, all you incredibly dumb and uninformed Americans, Im Lindsey Graham. Im a really, really, REALLY smart lawyer from South Carolina. Almost as smart as John Edwards.
Because I am from South Carolina, some of you uninformed BIGOTS might call me a cracker.
Actually, that suits me just fine because that would make me a Graham Cracker. So if you dont like my position (most often bent over Algores or Harry Reids desk) on globull warming, immigration or those OTHER unimportant issues (I slept through those classes on factual evidence in law school) you can
BITE ME!
