I think it is time for radical measures...in a perfect world, the US Government would federally deputize flying local and state LEA’s as FAMS and allow them to carry while flying. As of now, only those local/state LEA’s assigned to a JTTF with the FBI are allowed to fly armed. Ditto for our military. The sorriest expression of distrust towards our boys in uniforms is displayed when they go through the TSA security line and they are made to take their boots off, etc...we should instead allowing them to fly armed. Think about this...statistically speaking, we could have EVERY domestic and probably over 50% of international flights covered if we implemented something like this.
I would even go as far as allowing CCW licensees whom are Federal government employees be deputized..then again...it's time to wake up....will never happen in our hoplophobic society...
