The U.S. does not plan to open a new front in Yemen in the global fight against terrorism despite closing its embassy there in the face of Al Qaeda threats, President Obama's top counterterrorism adviser said Sunday.

"We're not talking about that at this point at all," White House aide John Brennan told Fox News when asked whether U.S. troops would be sent to Yemen.

"The Yemeni government has demonstrated their willingness to take the fight to Al Qaeda," he said. "They're willing to accept our support. We're providing them everything that they've asked for."

The U.S. gave Yemen $67 million in training and support under the Pentagon's counterterrorism program last year.

The Bush administration's approach was to take the fight to the enemy, to kill them "over there", BEFORE they come "over here".

Note the contrast -- the Obama administration is counting on tourists to foil the next terrorist attack.

Also -- note how well Yemen is doing with the money they were given, it's LAST year when Al Qaeda significantly increased their presense and set up more training camps in Yemen.

Because we want to have a dialog with them, find out why they don't like us. Then we can make it alright by giving them stuff.

Hussein is a muslim.

Democrats = The Party of Islam.

Americans = fools who will trade their TV clicker for Islamo-serfdom. The TV is what the left and Islam are using to control you suckers. Fox is 20% owned by the Saudis. Feeling like a frog on slow boil yet - keep subscribing to sat and cable TV and watching your meaningless ball games as your kids become slaves.

"Yemen, a nation beset by crushing poverty"(pp)

This diptard Nobama is so freaking daft when it comes to holding his cards close. He's telegraphing - or floating a trial balloon - that American taxpayer money in the form of cash payouts can alleviate the terrorist threat from Al Queda.

Who's side is he on, anyway . . don't answer that - too easy.

The most this lametard jack squat administration will do is coordinate continued drone strikes and close our embassy in Yemen. Tough guys here, one and all of them. /s =.=

Looks like Al queda won this one even though the bomb didn’t go off. It caused us to show more weakness by closing the embassy and knee jerking a bunch of useless TSA security measures that did nothing to make anyone safer. Obama, you can’t win a basketball game if you don’t get off the bus.

Good, than also have the common sense to cancel and revoke all US VISA’s and immigration for any and all Yemen and/or other country that may have a Yemen trying to access the US

Well there is no war on terror or long war anymore.

Messiah king Ozero has decreed this.

He just needs to tell that to Al Qaeda in Yemen.
Surely they will understand.
