Pro-homosexuality? What do you mean? I know they pray for homosexuals, but they’re not pro-homosexuality as far as I’ve seen! It seems to me that Benedict 16, long before he was the Pope, disciplined a priest and a nun for being to lenient in working with gays in California!
I don’t remember when it was, maybe 10-12 years ago. He felt they were getting too lenient with them, and called them on it. I remember some gay group was crabbing about him at the time. It seems that they take a love the sinner-hate the sin position in dealing with gay people.
I thought pro-homosexuality was too strong a term. Maybe too tolerant of it is what I meant. There are in fact Catholics that I know who think homosexuality is OK because the church is too afraid to say it’s wrong. Or maybe their pastors don’t believe it is, I don’t know. Love the sinner, as you say, but to tolerate the sin is not the function of the church. Where do you think all those pedophile priests came from? Over 90% of them are gay.
