Actually, it’s not my little joke. It’s a Lutheran joke, in fact. I’m surprised you don’t know about it. I learned, upon marriage to a Lutheran, that no group of people can prepare jello in a more creative way than a Lutheran wife. It is a fixture on any pot luck line, as you probably know.
