Mark Steyn.
Out of curiosity, have you read or listened to “Going Rogue”?
“This video requires you to be a subscriber to PJTV.”
Mark Steyn was my immediate choice before I read the thread.
Rush is irreplaceable, and I hope he outlives me by many decades, but we giggled with glee as Mark Steyn began the Monday broadcast. And that was before he knocked the show out of the park. (Still chuckling over Janet Incompetano)
Great post. 99.99% agree with everything you said!
Bill Whittles Sarah/Alinsky/Obama video op-ed is also embedded (FREE) on this webpage.

Either Mark Steyn or Davis are great subs for Rush when he needs the time off!
I loved Jason too, young and irreverent, with a handle on the issues. Steyn is too rambling for me, he’s better suited for writing.
Are you disputing my claim that Palin herself would acknowledge that Ingraham and and Levin were smarter than her, or are you just being argumentative? And overly defensive of Palin? For what it’s worth, I think Palin is very bright, and well-informed on a variety of subjects. Nevertheless, she would tell you herself that she is not in the same league with those two. On the other hand, she definitely IS smarter than Sean Hannity and Glenn Back. Hopw that helps.
Please re-read the thread, and note that I never suggested otherwise. My observation was a comparison between specific individuals. So, unless you have "sat down in a room and talked at length with" with each and every one of them, your personal experiences are irrelevant.
I like Palin a lot too, but she has shortcomings like eveyone else.
If you had bothered to read the thread (or even the specific dialogue that you are responding to), you would have found that I have answered that question three or four times already.
So sorry, I have twin toddlers and mostly read long threads by scanning—I noticed many of yours were quite negative about Sarah Palin in the ‘left handed compliment’ kind of way.
So was that a yes, or no? Have you read the book?
Why don't you try reading the thread and giving me an example where I was "quite negative about Sarah Palin in the left handed compliment kind of way." Then I might be better able to explain myself to you. Toddlers have got to sleep sometime.
I assure you I have nothing but praise for Sarah Palin except in this role or as an immediate candidate for CIC.
WOW!!!
What a great video!! :-)
And guess what, when he was talking about ‘liberals’ you could put
‘presidio9’s name in there AND NOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE.
Especially on that ‘moral superiority’ party—boy, did he hit THAT nail on the head! Thanks for the link! I’m bookmarking it to pass on to my other conservative friends. :-)
The second half is when he really gets going and begins to discuss the Saul Alinsky communists, the Japanese savages and how these evil thugs now control the 'rat party.
When Bill states we MUST fight the same dirty fight as the Alinsky followers or risk losing America, he hits it on the head. He does not mince words which I like and believe we need to be more direct in defining this evil.
Spread the word on this GREAT video op-ed - more Americans need to see/hear these very wise words.
FBing it this very moment! Thanks again!! I loved it! :-)
If after the back and forth we’ve already had on this matter you haven’t yet been hit by the light, then there isn’t any point in continuing the discussion.
Have a great New Year.
I can assure you that I HAVE been around twin toddlers, but enough with the irrelevancies. It is common courtesy to read a thread before making assumptions or accusations. In this case, you could have found the answer by simply using using the previous post button at the bottom of the post you were referring to. Of course I have read Palin’s book, and I remain a fan of the woman. I have also seen her most prominent interviews and speeches. One of the things that impresses me is how humble she is. She is comfortable in her own skin, and she calls her own shortcomings to attention. She is the first to admit it when she lacks experience or expertise. I suggest you go back and re-read the book if you somehow missed this. She puts herself fourth on her understanding of bureaucracy, campaigning, curruption and energy. She delegates everwhere else. That’s a fine starting point. She could easily be President with that skill set. It was Reagan’s executive philosophy. But that’s not what we’re talking about here.
One of the constant frustrations I run into with every undying Palin devotee is the idea that the she can do no wrong, and there is no job she is not capable of. Even she doesn’t think that way, and that is part of her appeal. You called me stupid in your post, which can get you suspended here on FR, but I will point out that you’d have to be stupid if you think a similiar job to Rush’s hasn’t already been offered to Palin. And turned down, obviously.
You said that you had heard three of the four people interviewed, but you only critiqued Levin. So I’ll stick to that (and to my point that all four have a more thorough grasp of current events than Palin -and that she would agree with my observation). Undoubtedly you saw Levin interviewed by either Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilley. Levin likes to be in control, and does not give many interviews. He is uncomfortable doing. He is a lot smarter than O’Reilley (Hannity is almost as dumb as Couric, so we won’t go there). In short, you don’t get much out of a Levin interview, but he never comes across looking flustered. He would DESTROY Couric, if he even took notice of her. He would give Charles Gibson a two minute discourse on the correct application of the so-called Bush Doctrine. You know in your heart that he would. You like the guy yourself, you’re just hard-wired to defend Palin. I respect that, as long as you don’t do it blindly.
I’m not being snooty here. There’s a room for a lot of people here, and Palin is a better politician than any of the others.
