First, I wonder if the show itself would get slightly renamed like “The Limbaugh Show, now proudly presenting _ as host”.
I can’t help but think that they’d need two or three going and watch the numbers closely. Radio is a cut-throat business. Rush’s show is FAR TOO VALUABLE to let slide into obscurity. (Also-as some have suggested-, I’d be curious if a 2 or 3 person crew would be better.)
Finally, think HISTORICALLY. This sort of thing has happened, what can we learn? Jack Parr -> Johnny Carson -> Jay Leno —or maybe— Bob Grant -> ? —or— Howard Stern -> ? etc...
Rush pays out of his own pocket.
That’s true. He doesn’t go overboard with obscure references like Miller, but I can see that he might not be mainstream material. I’m amazed that he is so good on the air. He’s a fantastic writer. But he’s seemingly just as good off the cuff.
You are right that no one can really replace Rush. But you can bet your bottom dollar that people in the industry are thinking about this very issue. (and have been for years now)
—By The Way, why are all my posts disappearing? WTH?—
Rush has longevity in his family. He will be around for a long time.
Happy New Year.
Please, no! Can't stand him and I'm in DFW. His goofy voices and sound efx makes him hard to take seriously. Not to mention I believe he pulled a Newt and abandoned a sick wife.

Never mind replacing him. How is he doing?
I love Rush and hold nothing against anyone who can afford the best in health insurance unfortunately most of us will be forced into the less than adequate government system.
Rush is in the hands of the best medical system in the world I pray it stays that way!! I hope Rush recovers quic!kly
Please NO!! I live in the DFW area and cannot stand to listen to Mark Davis. Would rather listen to nails on a chalkboard.
Hell no on Hannity. He is more annoying than Mark Davis.
Glenn friggin’ Beck.
I agree. Mark Steyn. 100%.
sorry, Sean but this is a completely different league and Sean Hannity simply does not have what it takes in the way of thinking quickly on his feet, he doesn't actually listen to his callers, but too many times just reacts with the thought he wanted to express before they called and I could NEVER imagine Sean Hannity pulling off a successful stunt the way Rush did with his Harry Reid letter he auctioned in eBay making a complete @ss of that worthless Harry Reid. That one action was an example of the pure genius that is Rush Limbaugh.
Same to you Stephen.
Glad that you are around.
So, when do we take over the world?
*hug*
Wilkow is great-he’s just a little abrupt with the callers. His logic is impeccable though.
We all would.
Each one of us is a conservative armed to the teeth to go forth and combat liberalism.
We each would have to pony up that much harder.
And that isn’t a bad idea right now.
Let the thought of losing a great conservative voice motivate us to do more.
RUSH is a pioneer in his field and created his method of pointing out liberal fallicies over many years of experience. He evolved into an ICON that the left has no counter for. His shoes will never be filled. Get well soon RUSH.
