I've had both lower back disc pain - where you get completely immobilized from pain and can't breathe - and this neck pain, which has been intermittent since I injured it. I'm not sure which is worse. The neck pain would freeze up my entire shoulder, neck and back area, and every day I would get a migraine that would start up at 4:00 in the afternoon and by 6 I would either be puking or blinded by pain. I finally had 6 facet block injections in the neck, and fortunately they worked. I know people who have had the injections repeatedly and they didn't even touch the pain.
