I hate to think this way but .......
If you know that your poll numbers are tanking and that G W Bush's numbers soared when the Pentagon and the twin towers were hit .... do you 'let' 300 of the unwashed sprinkle over Detroit while you are 'on vacation' to create a crisis which would rally people and give you an excuse for an even greater power grab?
A perfect storm of coincidence got this guy on the plane and still a lot of questions about how this all 'happened'
