Here’s the thing......Freedom to travel is a right.....flying isn’t.

Comply with the rules or don’t use an airplane to travel.

Trains, Automobiles and Watercraft are still available for use!

For many, air travel is a job requirement. The choice for them is fly or find a different job, both very unpleasant options. Recreational travel provides many travel options. An RV is ours.

I agree, if my sensibilities, or religious beliefs, are offended by the safety requirements of an airline then I, as a free person, have the right to not use that airline. I can drive, I can take a train, a ship or a bus, if they don’t have security requirements offensive to me. I can walk...it’s all about my choices. A business has the right to protect it’s investments (airplanes, ships, buses) and it’s employees and I have no right to travel with them if I don’t agree to comply with those protections. This country is nuts if they require private enterprise to jeopardize their property...but then I guess I should have stopped after I said this country is nuts!

why is the government responsible for providing security for private companies anyway?

The federal governments powers are specific and enumerated by the constitution... where exactly is the federal government empowered to screen the customers of a private company before they can use the product they have purchased?
