He is such a Christian that he never goes to church, even on major Christian holidays...
His grandmother was a unitarian, his mom an agnostic, and his dads were non-practicing muslims.
When he converted to Christianity as an adult, it was in the the church of the former muslim Jeremiah Wright who said some very unChristian things.
He is on record saying that his kids don’t get Christmas gifts (he chooses one gift for the whole family). Fine. Whatever. He cites security and being unfamiliar with a good church in DC as reasons he doesn’t go out on Sundays. How about a private minister coming to the White House? Would that work?
It’s a matter of choice. He’s non-observant and while he makes grand gestures to the Islamic community, on Christianity, he’s silent. He compared Jesus’ message to socialism and missed the meaning of Christmas (he said “love” whereas it was a gift of redemption).
He did go to church on Easter. But I guess he figured the masses who cling to religion were paying attention a couple of months into his presidency.
Now he’s on vacation.
